Volunteers Are the
Heart of BFF
Every film screened, every guest welcomed, every evening that turns into something magical — none of it happens without the people who give their time, energy, and passion freely. Volunteers are not support staff at Brač Film Festival. They are the festival.
Over 200 volunteers from across the region have been part of BFF since 2015. They've come from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro — and beyond. They greet guests, guide directors, assist crews, and carry the spirit of BFF in everything they do.
We ask for commitment, curiosity, and a love of film. In return, you get access to every screening, behind-the-scenes moments most audiences never see, and memories that last far longer than four days in August.

Free entry to every film, party, and festival event during the four days.
Accommodation
Secured place in the festival camp. Bring your tent — everything else is on us.

Free breakfast and lunch for the full duration of the festival (Aug 2–11).

Volunteer Sectors
Apply directly to the sector you'd like to join. Tell us your motivation and experience relevant to that team.
Sector 01
Marketing &
AV Production
Design and execute creative campaigns, manage social media, and participate in photo and video production. May include: leaflet distribution, promotional material installation, photo/video team work, social media content creation and publishing.
Sector 02
Hospitality
Take care of festival guests — their accommodation, transport, and overall experience. May include: coordinating with accommodation venues, managing guest arrivals and departures, organising transport, and handling all other guest needs.
Sector 03
Production
Support the organisation and running of the festival — from logistics to behind-the-scenes coordination. May include: runner duties in the production office, assisting sector coordinators, and supporting day-to-day operations.
Sector 04
Ljetno Kino
(Summer Cinema)
Prepare and run open-air screenings and ensure the audience has the best possible film experience. May include: ticket scanning, cinema clean-up, decoration setup, chair arrangement, and venue maintenance.
Sector 05
Side Programme
Help organise the side programme, entertainment, masterclasses and talks. May include: assisting with programme coordination, on-location support, entrance control, coordinating speakers and performers.
Sector 06
Info Point
Provide visitors with accurate information about the programme, locations and content. May include: working at the info desk, selling tickets, and selling festival merchandise.
Sector 07
Festival Bar
Keep the audience and guests refreshed, with a smile and great atmosphere behind the bar. May include: serving drinks, handling payments, inventory management, bar setup and restocking.
